The International Literacy Association (ILA) has recognized VSRA with the Award of Excellence, the Advocacy Program, and the Community Engagement Achievement Award!

It's time to join VSRA!

The VSRA Membership year runs from August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2018. In order to obtain full benefits (journal, newsletters, etc.) membership must be received by December 15.  The cost of joining VSRA and a local council is $30.  Members may add a dual and/or tertiary council for $10 each.

2018 Conference Call for Proposals

The 51st annual conference will be held in Richmond, VA from March 8-10, 2018, at the Richmond Marriott and Convention Center.  Please consider submitting a proposal for a conference session.  The first call for proposals will be on June 15, 2017.  A final call for proposals will be on August 25, 2017.   Proposals can be submitted here via Google Forms.

All proposals will be reviewed beginning on August 26, 2017, and we do not anticipate extensions for this deadline.  Presenters will be notified of proposal acceptances by November 30, 2017.  Please direct any questions to Joan Rhodes, the 2018 conference chair, at
